This high quality buckle is made all the more desirable by the fact that it was made and designed by one of Mexico's most celebrated designers; Antonio Pineda. Pineda studied art at an early stage and then at age fourteen went on to apprentice silversmithing at the then newly founded Taller De Las Delicias of William Spratling, one of America, and Mexico's, most important silversmiths and designers. After 8 years studying with Spratling Pineda opened up his own workshop in 1941 and went on to create some of the finest silver pieces seen in the Americas, or the rest of the work for that matter. The buckle dates to the 1950's.
The current length of the is forty four inches long and one inches wide by forty six inches long, plus the buckle being two and a half inches long by one and three quarters wide. The leather can also be cut to make it shorter, if so desired.
